Golf has been played on the Arbroath links since 1878 when Tom Morris designed the course. Since then it has been extended and modified twice, firstly by Willie Fern of
Troon and lastly in 1931 by James Braid. Since Braid's modifications the course has been left, virtually untouched.

A flat links course, which is true to 'links' play, undulating fairways, subtle bunkers, and water. The Dowrie burn comes into play on 11 occasions, with the course being exposed to strong winds from the North Sea the hazards can come into play more often than you would want!

Not a particularly difficult course, the rough is generally cut back, overall an enjoyable taste of links golf designed by one of golfs most famous architects.
