Recently
named as one of the Top 20 golf courses in the country, this
parkland course is an absolute must for golfers of all abilities.
Carved
through mature woodlands, the course provides a very fair
test of golf. The first 9 holes have wide fairways therefore
quite forgiving, however the return can be described as
having much tighter and shorter holes.
From the back tee's there are 5 par 5's so the course
is probably easier for the longer hitter.
Downfield
was selected as a final Open Qualifier for the 1999 Open
Championship at Carnoustie, thus proving its reputation
as a quality course.
