This
19th century meal mill has recently been fully restored by its
owner, the National Trust for Scotland. Records show
that a water mill has occupied the site since at least 1539.
The present building was built in 1814. A nice insight into
days gone by. |

The
RRS Discovery was built in Dundee for Captain Scott
who set sail on a failed exploration to Antartica. The
award
winning Discovery Point charts the famous voyage by
allowing you to experience the adventure via sight and
touch. To top it off you can also explore the actual boat,
which was frozen in ice until the 1980's. |

| The
castle was the home of the Lindsays who acquired it in 1358.
Mary, Queen of Scots stayed here in 1562 during her quest to
stop the Huntly rebellion. The castle gardens are magnificent,
in particular the Italian Renaissance walled garden. The garden
was created by Sir David Lindsay around 1604. Set in the Glens,
nice and peacful with a lot of charm. |
