This 19th century meal mill has recently been fully restored by its owner, the National Trust for Scotland. Records show
that a water mill has occupied the site since at least 1539.
The present building was built in 1814. A nice insight into
days gone by.

A fine example of a Georgian house, the property boasts elegant
rooms and many royal momentoes.
The location is equally as
beautiful, set in well maintained gardens and grounds.

During the summer a steam train runs to the property, which is always great fun for both young and old.

The RRS Discovery was built in Dundee for Captain Scott
who set sail on a failed exploration to Antartica.
The award
winning Discovery Point charts the famous voyage by
allowing you to experience the adventure via sight and
touch. To top it off you can also explore the actual boat,
which was frozen in ice until the 1980's.

The family Home of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne, it is the childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. Fantastic guides show you around this magnificent property telling you the myths and legends associated! The castle also has nice grounds, which are great for walking around.

The Abbey was founded by King William the Lion in 1178 for Benedictine monks and dedicated to his friend, the Archbishop of Canterbury Thomas Becket. The site is most famous for the Declaration of Arboath which was signed in 1320. This asserted Scotland's independence from England. A marvellous visitors centre has recently been created, well worth a visit.

The castle was the home of the Lindsays who acquired it in 1358. Mary, Queen of Scots stayed here in 1562 during her quest to stop the Huntly rebellion. The castle gardens are magnificent, in particular the Italian Renaissance walled garden. The garden was created by Sir David Lindsay around 1604. Set in the Glens, nice and peacful with a lot of charm.
